Mark your calendars for Maine Maple Sunday 2024, March 23-24, an annual Maine tradition where over 100 maple syrup producers open their doors to the public! The event was originally held on Sunday only, but the popularity of Maine Maple Sunday grew so fast, and sugar houses across the state had so many visitors come for the single-day event that they started opening their doors the day before the event. This caught on with other sugar houses in Maine, so Maine Maple Sunday was extended to two days.

Maine Maple Sunday is much more than maple syrup. You can take a sugar shack tour and see what goes into turning maple sap into Maine maple syrup.  Some producers host a pancake breakfast with fresh Maine maple syrup on tap.  You can also try free samples of fresh Maine maple syrup right where it is produced!  Many producers offer maple-inspired foods of all kinds, like ice cream, candy, cream, cotton candy, popcorn, whoopie pies, fudge, and more!

Some outfits offer games and activities for the kids, horse-drawn wagon rides, demonstrations, sugarbush walking tours, contests, and more! This is a fantastic event anyone who loves Maine maple syrup will enjoy!
