Maine Spring Events: March 2024

Sure, it says “Maine Spring Events” at the top, but winter still isn’t over in Maine, as you can tell from the events going on this month! If you missed it last month, there’s another chance to watch equine skijoring again in Bangor, and the exciting Can-Am Crown International Sled Dog Race also takes place this month up in Fort Kent. There are more snowmobile races and radar runs as well, along with the Maine Free Snowmobile Weekend.

To end the month, we have the always-popular Maine Maple Sunday Weekend. If haven’t checked it out, you should! Sugar houses across the state are open to the public and are happy to show you how they make maple syrup. Many also make more than just maple syrup, and you’ll most likely find LOTS of interesting and unique maple syrup treats- the maple syrup cotton candy was one of my favorites!
