
Gateway to Gulf Hagas
This historic site still has remains of a blast furnace and charcoal kiln from the mid to late 1800’s. Katahdin Iron Works was Maine’s only nineteenth century iron works operation. The site is located across the dirt road from the KI Gate in the Northern Maine Woods.
