Watch the beauty and power of the Penobscot River roar through Ripogenus Gorge in the fall. This gorge is a mile long with up to 240 foot vertical walls. The gorge is easily accessible by dirt road (Golden Road). Look closely on the upper right area of ledge and you will see a fly fisherman casting his line!
